Steven Chambers Obituary

Steven Lynn Chambers, 59, Rio Rancho, NM passed away on December 12, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, John Chambers. He was the proud father of Matthew (Melissa) Chambers, and Courtney Chambers, loving grandfather to Jacob and Averi Chambers. He is survived by his mother, Norma Chambers, and sister, Lisa Dusenbery (Brian), nieces Brittany Cordova, Ashley (Ryan) Galloway, Ciara Dusenbery, nephews Austin Dusenbery, Braedon Dusenbery, and grandnieces Aspyn and Avery Galloway.
Steve was born in Albuquerque, NM where his father was stationed at the Sandia Air Force Base (Kirtland Air Force Base). He soon moved to the Findlay, Ohio area, where he grew up and finished his schooling. He then moved to Rio Rancho, NM where he worked in the HVAC industry. He was an active member of his church and worked in various ministries. Steve enjoyed many scouting trips growing up and shared this passion with his son, Matthew. They went camping and fishing, in which many stories were always shared about their wild adventures. He pretty much had a fishing pole with him everywhere he went. He had a quick wit, compassionate heart, and contagious laugh. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on January 6, 2024, at 11:00 at First Baptist Church Rio Rancho. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
