Wanda Wood Obituary
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Wanda Atchley Wood. She passed away peacefully on March 12, /22 due to glioblastoma. She was born April 2, ?? (Per her request) to BB and Evanca Atchley who preceded her. They now welcome her back into their arms.
Wanda is survived by her daughters D'Auna Wood Franken (Jim), D'Nette Wood (Bill King), Grandchildren Spencer Gottlieb, Miranda Gottlieb, Lance Pennington, and Step Grandchildren Jared Franken (Hillary and family) and Brent Franken (Maria). Her siblings, Dan Atchley (Janice), Dr. Lyman Atchley (Gerri), Ileta Rutherford, Velma Myers (Win), Desiree Lang (David). She was blessed by her four-legged angel Tucker who never left her side. She will also be missed by numerous family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Mom, we will miss your beautiful blue eyes and smile, your adventurous spirit, driving fast, homemade ice cream, angel food cake, and your "eye rolls," as we knew exactly what you wanted to say. Until we see you again, you will always be in our hearts.
To her caregivers Lorraine and Marlin, your kindness will never be forgotten.
Services with be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church (Harwood) 420 San Lorenzo Ave NW, Albuquerque 87107

D'Nette and D'Auna, sorry about your dear Mom's passing. I know how you both loved and looked out after her (and she, you). We missed her when she left our neighborhood. She was truly a sweet lady!
