Anna Grace Duhon Benoit

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Anna Grace Duhon Benoit, 84, who died on Monday, October 18, 2021 at her residence in Lafayette. Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery in Lafayette. Reverend Howard Blessing will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include her daughters, Annette LeBlanc and her husband, David, and Rachel Janise and her husband, Wesley; four grandchildren, James Daniel Janise and his wife Alloyn, Matthew Brant Janise, David Ryan LeBlanc and his wife Brittany and Joshua Charles LeBlanc and his fiance', Jayna; and four great-grandchildren, Alaina Grace LeBlanc, Mason Jean LeBlanc, Bristol Michelle LeBlanc and Kyle James Janise; two sisters, Nevelyn Breaux and Barbara Latiolais and her husband, Robert; and one brother, Lester Duhon. She was preceded in death by death by her husband, James E. "Mr. Pete" Benoit; one granddaughter, Michelle Judith leBlanc; three sisters, Audrey Bourque, Murtis Lantier and Delta Duhon; one brother, Lennis Duhon; two sisters-in-law, Mae Ola B. Duhon and Florence Duhon; three brothers-in-law, Dudley Bourque, Chester Lantier and Conrad Breaux and her parents, Theonise and Nellie Duhon; Anna Grace Duhon Benoit was a native of Judice, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for most of her life. She loved family gatherings, enjoyed the company of friends and always enjoyed entertaining guests with her wonderful cooking on holidays or weekly visits. She had a big loving heart, never wanting to offend anyone. Mrs. Benoit attended Church every Sunday to pray, receive the sacraments, and to "Thank the Good Lord". She worked hand in hand with her loving husband and lifetime soul mate in various successful self-owned businesses. She dearly loved their two daughters, Annette and Rachel, and the pride of her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ryan LeBlanc, Joshua LeBlanc, Daniel Janise, Matt Janise, Blaine Latiolais, Keith Bourque, Brant Latiolais and Shannon Bourque. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's Downtown location on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will continue on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. Our family would like to express sincere gratitude to her caregivers during difficult times of illness recently.
