Christopher Jay Waldo Townsdin

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Christopher Jay Waldo Townsdin will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the Chapel of Louisiana Funeral Services, 108 Hardware Road, Broussard, Louisiana. Visiting hours will begin at 11AM and will be followed by a rosary at 12:30 PM. The Memorial will begin at 1pm with Father Michael Rousseau as the officiant. Christopher Jay Waldo Townsdin of Carencro peacefully left this life on March 12, 2019, at his childhood home. He was born July 21, 1965 in Hays, Kansas and was then a resident of Lafayette for 35 years. Christopher installed drywall for 37 years and owned and operated C&Z Drywall LLC. In his past time, Chris was a car fanatic who loved working on Mopar muscle cars. If he wasn't hanging drywall or working on cars, you would find him watching a NASCAR or Sprint car race. He also loved music and had the concert tickets and vinyl record collection to prove it. He enjoyed many genres from Rock to Blues and was also a drummer in his youth. His most endearing quality was his sense of humor. More than those things, Chris was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. He will be forever loved, always remembered and dearly missed. Chris is survived by his mother Sylvia Chauvin Townsdin, brother Jeff and wife Patricia Townsdin, sister Jennifer and husband David Cross, daughter Brittany and husband Jonathan Richard, grandson Elias Richard, granddaughter Eden Richard, stepdaughter Layla Lanclos and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Christopher was preceded in death by his father Loren Keith Townsdin and sister Patricia "Patti" Townsdin.
