Clint Clements Obituary

Funeral services will be held for Clint James Clements, Sr., 57, on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Dismas Mauk to serve as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, January 11, 2016, from 8:00 AM until service time. A native of Franklin and resident of Jeanerette, Clint passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 2:12 AM at a local healthcare facility. Clint was a very active member of the community of Jeanerette, he spent 20 years serving the community as a volunteer fire fighter. He enjoyed hunting big game such as deer, loved dancing, family gatherings and watching his grandchildren compete in sporting events. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the crew of men he led over the years and he was always ready to help anyone in need. Clint was the only man that many knew that had gotten shot while fishing. Clint will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and loyal friend. Clint is survived by his spouse, Sheila LeBlanc Clements of Jeanerette; daughter, Elizabeth Harrington and husband Joshua of Youngsville; daughter, Jennifer Clements Buck and husband Bobby Jr. of San Diego, CA; son, Clint James Clements, Jr. and wife Jamie of New Iberia; daughter, Katheryn Marie Clements of San Diego, CA; son, Ted Michael Clements of Jeanerette; mother-in-law Bernice Tabb LeBlanc of Jeanerette; brother, Wilbert J. "Butch" Clements, Jr. and wife Sandra of New Iberia; brother, Morty Frederick, Sr. and wife Pamela of Jeanerette; sister, Kathleen LaCoste and husband Grayland, Sr. of Ricohoc; sister, Rachel Louviere and husband Blaine of Franklin; grandchildren, Joshua Buck, Zachary Harrington, Daylin LeBlanc, Lucas Harrington, Destinae Buteau, Bailee Buck, Davion Clements, godchildren, Angela LaCoste, Billy LeBlanc, Jason Frederick, Dana Ledet, Eric Myers and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert J Clements, Sr; mother, Eva Doris Naquin Clements; father-in-law Lee St.Paul LeBlanc; brother, Ted Andrew Clements and sister-in-law, Tammy Ann Ledet. Serving as Clints final hunting guides are John "Johnny" Ledet, Barry "Doc" Black, Phil Naquin, Calvin Tabb, Charles "Charlie" Stages, Jr., Stephen Miguez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wilbert "Butch" Clements, Jr., Morty Frederick, Sr., Eric Myers, and Jason Frederick.
