Jacob Mark "Jake" Trickey II

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at a 11:00 AM Service in The Bayou Church in Lafayette for Jacob Mark "Jake" Trickey, II, 24, who died on Friday, May 20, 2016 at his residence in Lafayette. Interment will be in Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. Reverend Gary Funderburk, Congregational Care Pastor of The Bayou Church, will officiate the funeral services. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Jacob Mark Trickey and his wife, Christie Weatherford Trickey; his mother, Taya Barton; five brothers, Christopher McQueen, Jordan Trickey, Jaxson Trickey, Jace Trickey and Jaren Trickey; his grandparents, Jacqueline Judice Trickey, Joyce Stacy and Tom Barton; two aunts, Kim Barton and Stephanie Trickey; one uncle, Jerry Trickey, Jr. and two step-sisters, Madeline Rose Tassin and Olivia Grace Tassin. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Miles Trickey; and one uncle, Breck Barton. Jacob Mark Trickey, II was born in Bakersfield, California and was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for the last several years of his life. "Jake", as he was known to friends and family, was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, riding motorcycles and ATV's. He enjoyed working out and spending time with his friends and family. Jake was a very giving person and had a servant's heart. He was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, nephew and friend to all and will be dearly missed. Pallbearers will be Christopher McQueen, Jordan Trickey, Jaxson Trickey, Jace Trickey, Jaren Trickey and Todd Day. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Guzzetta, Dan Bacque, Drew Van Eaton, Drew Garrett Martin. Memorial donations can be made in Jake's name to gofundme.com/q6r7gras. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE Location on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
