Barry E. Markle, 44, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2016 at his residence.
Born September 20, 1971, in York, he was the son of Joyce E. (Ilgenfritz) Dunlap, of York, and the late Barry L. Dunlap. Mr. Markle worked as a maintenance technician for Graham Packaging Inc. and Pretium Packaging Inc. He had played football and basketball for the York Boy's Club and was an avid Eagles Fan.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Markle is survived by a son, Dylan Markle; four sisters, Wendy Little, of Summerfield, Fla., Christine Ilgenfritz, Dorothy Carter, and Tracy Markle, all of York; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved companion, his pet dog, Rutan. He was also preceded in death by a son, Byron Markle. Mr. Markle had many friends and was a lovable and likeable person.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at The Semmel Chapel of Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. Visitation will be 9 to10 a.m. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 224 St. Charles Way, Suite 200, York, PA 17402.

This has been the hardest year of my young life. Years between us didn't stop you from loving me, this year without you hasn't stopped me from loving you. Oasis is playing, I'm shivering on the front porch thinking of you. I miss your sad eyes, and your long wavy hair. I miss the way you got angry at my hip hop music, and the way you smiled when I sang the words to songs you introduced me too. I miss the way you held my hand for too long, and the sound of your squeaky brakes picking me up from work. I hate every day that goes by that I don't get to tell you to behave. Barry, I just found out about your passing today. I am devastated, we became friends over the last few months and last I knew, you were going to York to your son's funeral. I don't even know how you passed away. You were a great guy who is already missed.

My deepest sympathies to B's family and friends. I will never forget you B and I am beyond thankful I got to speak to you again. You had the biggest heart and you loved and cared for those who did the same for you. You told me some things I will never forget and reminded me to never give up on love it may disappear or fall off tract but it will always bring you back...
