Sorry to hear my good friend Ben Robar passed away. Met Ben for the 1st time in Anchorage in about 1966. He was a smart airplane mechanic. A very respectful person. I had a lot of respect for him. I am sure all who knew Ben, misses him also. Our thoughts and prayers are with Birgitt and their boys. God Bless

I grew up next to the Robars in City View and have so many wonderful shared memories with Ben, movies in his hand dug basement, fiddling with electronics, backyard volleyball and much more. He was truly an unforgettable friend from those early years. I am sorry for your loss. My best to the family.

I also have fond memories of the old days in Spenard! Benny was one of my best friends in grade school and Jr High. Would get together over the last few years each time I came back to Alaska for a visit. I will miss you and the stories!

I had the privilege of being one of the neighborhood kids. Growing up with Ben as my Daddy's best friend was awesome! Too many great memories to share. Deepest condolences to the Robar family. Rest easy and fly high Ben, say hi to my Daddy in the sky.

One of my best friends is gone. I have nothing but good memories of times we spent as youths (with Clare). I'm only glad that Ben and Birgitt had so many good years together.

Benny (back then, not Ben) Tom Ryckman and I (Clare Sanders) were inseparable throughout our school years We adventured on Blueberry Lake (and Road) learned to drive in his Dad's Model A, built models and learned life's early lessons together. Indelible memories - forever with us. Miss you, old friend.
