Bogdan Nowak

1960 - 2016

Bogdan Nowak passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016, while hiking in the Denali National Park. Bogdan was born on March 2, 1960, in Kraków, Poland, and was an Alaska resident since 1982. He considered Alaska his home. He loved life and his family. He passed away doing what he loved, surrounded by mountains and nature. He had an amazing sense of humor and he touched the lives of everyone he met. He is survived by his wife, Anna Nowak; his daughter, Kayla Nowak; his brother and sister-in-law, Christopher Nowak and Darcy Laughlin; mother, Maria Nowak; mother-in-law, Anna Potyrala; brother-in-law and his wife, Robert and Dorota Potyrala; nephew, Mateusz Potyrala; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Zdzislaw Nowak; and his father-in-law, Zdzislaw Potyrala. Celebration of his life will be held at 12 p.m. on June 24, 2016, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 8110 Jewel Lake Road in Anchorage, Alaska.
