Sorry to be so late to post this, I just heard the sad news. I haven't seen or spoke to Denny in over 20 years, but he always treated me like family, not an employee. I have fond memories of the 4 years I worked for you and this is really a shock. RIP my friend.

Denny denny denny... It took me about a week to put my thoughts in order so I could write this... We spent many hours together at your home. You introduced me to many new things, hunter s Thompson, so many movies, music, books, etc. I was always amazed at how much you read. So full of knowledge. If u didn't know already, even though I was going through a lot of personal stuff in recent years, I always looked up to you. The turnberry days seem like a lifetime ago. You were crazy as all hell but always knew how to handle business when it was needed and I always admired that about you. Walking into your house with the music blasting downstairs and the TV blaring upstairs. It seemed normal cause that's what you did but looking back its comical. You definitely did things your way.
I miss you buddy. Watch over us and keep smiling. I'll never forget you.

Rest in Peace buddy

Denny my friend, I will miss you greatly. Late nite text, tips on a game, a voicemail with that laugh, or an email asking when I'm coming back to Vegas. It has been an honor to know you. A true gentleman. You lost $10,000 to me playing a bowling game on my my iPhone. What's funny is that you paid that debt in cash. Lauren went shopping with all that cash and had the time of her life. I know you got a great kick out of that. Great times with you and Kerrie. And great times with our old friend Dave Christal. I hope you having a drink with him now watching the playoffs. Love you man. Thank you for everything.

It has been the greatest privilege of all being your nephew, and still that is an understatement. You showed me how to be a gentleman and how to have class and I will practice your lessons until the day we meet again. There are so many things I wanted to accomplish while you were here but I will not slack off as that would be a disgrace to your legacy. No one could ever replace you and all the stuff we did together will be cherished by me forever. Nothing will ever come close to comparing to the things you allowed me to expierience, especially valentines day '06, nobody could come up with something so unimaginably cool. I will miss you and love you forever.

After a long week, I can finally say, Mr. Mason my prince, I will miss your calls at all times of the night wanting to know if your princess or mama was ok. You were the world to me. through good, bad and really stuff that didn't not matter. My long time best friend and love is gone. Thank you for making me who I am today. I know when I see you again it will be dancing and having BOAT DRINKS. I love you forever. all my love Kerrie..

There will always be an empty spot on our couch around Christmas time. He had a knack for showing up right before Christmas, with a knock at the front door. I would answer. He would bust right on in and say, "Am I the only one drinking, DeLoach??" Of course, that would signify the start of "the party." Never a dull moment with Denny Ray Mason.

I am super shocked he passed away! Denny was a customer of mine and I loved helping him! He will be truly missed!

April 15, 2014

Denny was my childhood friend and we competed in everything except sports because wasn't going to lose. We would get into friendly wrestling matches occasionally and he would always say "Don't get up because you are going back down". I haven't seen him in a few years but I am really going to miss him. We had a lot of great memories. Blessings to Mary Jane, Ricky and Randy.

It is my first day of law school at the University of Arkansas and in my first class, all of us are sitting there scared not knowing what to expect . Everybody is asking if they read the assignments and are they ready and this voice says anybody catch the braves game last night. It is the first time I met Denny Mason and we were best of friends through the rest of law school. Denny always kept you laughing and was great guy . Sure will miss you Denny.

April 14, 2014

Denny was one of the most memorable law school classmates I had. He was incredibly competitive and I loved playing sports with him because he hated to lose. The word is spreading among Denny"s good friends from law school. We will miss him greatly. He was always the life of the party. He made us laugh and was a charismatic man. Kerrie, we are all sorry for your loss. Matt Whitworth, U of A Law, class of 1983.

The first time I met Denny was when he came to visit Moline, IL. He Dave Josh and I stayed up half the night putting over my carpet into a highball glass for $100 a putt. Over the past 10 years no trip to Vegas was complete without at least a few days and nights with Denny. First Dave and now Denny. I think heaven is rocking harder than Vegas right now. I love you and will miss you. So sorry Carrie and thank you for calling. Please keep in touch.

I met Denny in 1987 or 1988. I had a small jewelry manufacturing shop located just one building away from where his company was. By chance one of his salesmen made it into my shop and arranged a business deal for Denny and I. I am so grateful for this opportunity he gave me which changed my life. Over the next several years Denny sent quite a bit of business my way and even honored me with commissioning me to make an engagement ring for his fiance`. Denny had a taste for fine things in life. I remember when he asked me to order a Patek Philippe watch for him. He chose a very fine skeleton movement model. Years later he called me and told me that the watch "disappeared" from his house following a big party he held there. He asked me to locate another one just like it for him. I have not seen or spoken to Denny for at least 10 years. Just a few days ago I saw him briefly on a Las Vegas reality show "Money Talks" and thought "I need to go over there and see Denny and say hello." I did not get a chance... I feel sad for his passing. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Denny, you lit up a room!! I think you probabaly slept with a smile on your face! You were a joy to be around & hang out with back in the ole Sporting House days!! As mentioned, your sharp mind, jokes, southern drawl & presence will be missed! I know you are in Heaven listening to the Counting Crows and watching down on all of us. May your soul be at peace & know how much you meant to so many people.

Denny was one of the most supportive friends anyone could ever have. He was also the most fun person I have ever met in my life as he was always the first call when you wanted to go on a trip or go out to a concert (as we probably attended hundreds over the years). He never said a bad word about anyone and had a brilliant mind, and an even better smile. He was an incredible listener and his appreciation for music was unmatched. He was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. We love you Denny Ray. Say hello to Big Jake, Jamie, Craig, Chip, Pat, Marcel, Jimmy, and the rest of our friends up there. Our prayers are with Kerrie and Momma Mason. THE OTHICK FAMILY

Denny was more than my friend he was my brother. Growing up together in Magnolia and then moving to Las Vegas to work together has been a great experience. If you're lucky in life, you meet that one person who will give the guidance and the strength to be the best you can be and Denny was that person. His spirit will live forever.
