Diana Duve Obituary
DIANA DUVE Our beloved Diana Duve was born May 27, 1988 in Moldova. She was raised as a child in Moldova and moved at the age of 13 with her mother Lena Andrews to the United States. She was a bright and cheerful child, always smiling. Being the only child, she brought much joy to her parents and her grandparents. Diana spent her teenage years living in Vero Beach, FL. She lived with her loving mother and stepfather, Bill Andrews. She went to Vero Beach High School where she made friends easily. May 2007 she graduated VBHS. When asked to describe Diana, all would speak of her kind, fun spirit and clever personality. After high school she moved to Gainesville, FL where she studied for nursing school at Santa Fe Community College. August 2009 she was accepted into the University of South Florida's College of Nursing. She always worked hard to make her parents proud. Diana graduated nursing school August 2011 and became a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida. She spent two years working as an Oncology nurse at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Diana loved coming home to Vero Beach on her days off and spending time with family and friends. She cared deeply for her loved ones and was always having fun. Fall of 2013 she was excited to move back to Vero Beach and began working at Sebastian Medical Center. Diana was a beautiful, adventurous and brave woman. She loved traveling and being outdoors. She was funny, intelligent and genuine. Co- workers described Diana as a great nurse. She touched more lives than she even knew. She recently obtained her state of California nursing licenses in hopes of moving to California in the near future to start a new adventure and grow as a nurse. Her life was taken tragically at the age of 26. Diana Duve will be immensely missed as a daughter, granddaughter, niece, friend and colleague. Diana's spirit will always remain bright in our hearts. Memorial contributions may be made to Safe Space, PO Box 2822, Vero Beach, FL 32961 in memory of Diana Duve. Funeral services for Diana will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Community Church, Vero Beach. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach. Arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. An online guestbook is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.

I first want to express how your daughter, Diana has touched my heart. I never knew her but I feel as though I have through the episode on 48 hours that I just finished watching. Mrs. Lena, you are such a strong and hard loving mother. How I admire you! There is no love like a mother’s love and there is nothing that will stop a mother when comes to our child. My 2 daughters were kidnapped 11 months before your beautiful daughter Diana was born and I know that nothing can or will stop a mother’s search for our children. My out come was a happy one unlike yours and my heart breaks for you and your husband. All my Prayers and respectful love to you both and your family. May God keep you all in his loving and healing arms.

I read Diana’s story on CBSnews this morning. Thank you for sharing her with the world and using the tragedy that is her death to warn others to be vigilant about the dangers that lurk about. Diana was a smart, compassionate woman, beautiful inside and out. May peace be with you as you continue to be her voice.

I just watched CBS documentary about Diana. I have tears in my eyes. Im so sorry for Miss Lena and her stepfather, other family members ad friends. What a beautiful person!! I heard she cared so much for her patients as well as their families. I´d bet my life on that statement. Her smile says it all... what an incredible young person. The additional lives she would have touched...other than my own even without ever meeting her would have been an incredible number ! It´s hard to think of the people who will never know her and what a phenomenal experience it would be !!! Again My condolences. Your strength is very apparent Miss Lena !! God Bless you and yours and all your great memories of a truly wonderful person. Rick Trust ..... I´m just so touched.

Diana will be a light forever in our hearts and in our minds. She was here for such a short time but made such a huge impact on so many lives. I was so privileged to call her a friend.
We will never know why, but our hearts will forever ache from losing such a wonderful person in our life.
No words can ever ease the sorrow of losing a child. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to all of Diana's family. May it help to know many continue to send love and prayers your way.

It is with deepest regret I can not make the ceremony tomorrow. Diana was an amazing person. I went to nursing school and lived with Diana for a year. This is such a tragic loss. I will cherish all the memories I have with Diana. Rest in peace. God bless you and your family.
