Ethel Coleman Obituary

Ethel Mae Coleman, 75, passed away on Sept. 22, 2011 at Alaska Regional Hospital.

Ethel was born Nov. 22, 1935 in New Orleans, LA. She worked for Anchorage School District for over 20 years and retired in 2002 from First Student.

She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very loving person and always had a smile on her face. She was always willing to help people out. She enjoyed planting flowers in the summer. She knew how to dress very well. She will be terrible missed, but never forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Coleman, son Kenneth Smith and sister Emelda Stewart. She is survived by her boyfriend Mason Butler; son Herbert Joseph, grandsons, Michael and Jonathan Joseph; granddaughters, Serena and Shawna Joseph; great-grandson Dallas Joseph; great-granddaughters, Matalena Faatafuga and Mamie Lee; sister Beatrice Weber; and brothers, Lionel, Charlie, Robert and Andrew Joseph.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on October 14, 2011 at Evergreen Memorial. Memorial donations can be sent to 3623 East 18th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99508.
