I remember looking fear in the eyes with Gene. The skipper. Coal black stormy Alaskan nights between waves so high you couldn`t see the tops. Gene Cleary was a mountain of a man. I`ll be a hand on the Shamrock again someday. She`s making ready now, going to run out with the tide.

A mountain of a man with a twinkle in his eye. I always loved it when Gene walked into the room.
He and his family and friends were a big part of my childhood.
He will be missed very much. Love to you all
