Ginger Swanson Obituary

Longtime Alaskan Ginger L. Swanson passed into our Savior's arms on Oct. 9, 2018.
Ginger moved to Alaska from Denver, Colo., in 1971 with her family. She was a 1981 graduate of Chugiak High School.
Ginger was always smiling and happy! Her smile was contagious and brought much joy to everyone around her. She had a kind and loving heart, and was willing to help others in any way she could. She had a great love for her Colorado sports teams: the Avalanche, Rockies and, especially, the Broncos. Ginger also loved spending time with family and friends hiking, skiing, snowmachining, ice skating, fishing and camping.
Ginger is survived by her loving husband, Phill Adams; and her dog, Akea. She will be deeply missed by her extended family: Sandra Swanson, Natasha Schachle and Melissa Seime, as well as many family and friends in Alaska, Colorado, Texas, and Wisconsin. She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Swanson; mother, Donna Swanson; brother, Gary Swanson; and grandparents, Eldo and Dorothy Richardson, and Ray and Thelma Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to The Alaska SPCA and/or Animal Rescue.
Services will be held at Legacy Funeral Homes Heritage Chapel at Angelus Memorial Park, 440 East Klatt Road in Anchorage, Alaska, at 1 p.m. on ct. 27, 2018.

Phill, time goes by but our memories of her never leave. Her beautiful smile and radiant personality always shining along with her laughter. I loved her laugh. Thinking of you always! Love you Phill!

Phil, our troubled hearts are still trying to grasp these past 8 months. You were such a good and supportive husband and son-in-law. It was a pleasure to have met you last April at Ginger's parents home. It meant so much to share some good memories and laughter with her as we looked at a few childhood photos.
Please accept our warm love and condolances,
Jerilyn Fenton & Richard Zastrow -Oregon
