Harry Brown Obituary
Harry was born in Indianapolis, Ind., on Jan. 30, 1949, the son of Dr. Harry Merrill Brown, M.D., and Lauretta Irene Brown Schechter. He graduated high school from Kemper Military Academy and served in the Vietnam War during the Tet Offensive. Harry moved to Anchorage in 1990.
He is survived by his daughter, Loretta Irene Iyahuk; grandson, John Thomas Iyahuk; Loretta's mother, Mary Iyahuk; and his brother, Merrill Brandt Brown, all of Anchorage; his sister, Rebecca Irene Brown Ennis of Dallas, Texas; stepbrother and stepsister-in-law, Dr. Steve and Ann Schechter of Bloomington, Ind.; stepsister and stepbrother-in-law, Rebecca and Jim Ruston of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; niece, Jennifer Ennis Richard; and nephews, Jonathan Ennis and David Ennis.
Military burial will be held at Fort Richardson National Cemetery on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. Please line up behind the hearse at the main Fort Richardson gate at 11 a.m. for procession to the cemetery.
