Mr. Isaiah Cromedy, son of the late Julius and Catherine Frazier Cromedy, was born on September 30, 1934 in the Greenbay Section of Huger, South Carolina. He departed this life on Monday, July 11, 2016 in Riverdale, Georgia.
He was educated in the Berkeley County School System.
Isaiah was a dedicated employee of the International Longshoreman’s Association, Local 1422 in Charleston, SC, until his medical retirement.
He attended Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Huger, SC.
Isaiah was united in Holy Matrimony on August 15, 1971 to Eve Carey Cromedy, who preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Wilhelmina Morrison and brothers, James, Robert, Ed and Cleveland “Bobby” Cromedy.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Shirley Riley of Riverdale, GA, Floyd A. (Renee) Gant of Moncks Corner, SC, Prince E. (Pastor Henry) Dixon of Cordesville, SC and Luquines L. Cromedy of North Charleston, SC; his stepchildren, Delphine Carey, Sandra (Edward) Nelson, Lawrence Carey, Barbara (Thomas) Coakley, Zelda Magwood, Charlene (Maurice) Magwood, Maria (Dan) Magwood and Kevin Magwood; four sisters, Ruth C. Fleming of Avon Park, FL, Deloris C. Heyward of Hollywood, SC, Edna Louise (Peter) Meggett of Charleston, SC and Mary E. Singleton of Huger, SC; one brother, David (Isabell) Cromedy of Huger, SC; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a close friend who assisted in his care, Troy Jenkins; a host of nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends.
