James Marshall Obituary

Former Anchorage resident James Roy Marshall, 75, died Jan. 24, 2007, at Capital Care Facility in Boise, Idaho.
Hia family wrote that he "fought a courageous battle with prostate cancer."
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Anchorage. Rob West will officiate.
Jim was born Aug. 11, 1931, in The Dalles, Ore., and attended the University of Oregon. (Go Ducks!!!)
Jim and his wife, Diane, moved to Alaska in 1980 to be near their two daughters, Debbie and Karen. Jim left Alaska in 1996 when circumstances deemed it necessary.
His family wrote: "Jim was a good-hearted person who was devoted to family and friends, of whom there are many in Alaska, Oregon and Idaho. He adored his wife, Diane, to whom he was married in 1955. He was an elder in both Anchorage and Boise congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. He served Jehovah faithfully until his death."
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Diane.
He is survived by daughters, Debra Diane Bridge and her husband, Adam, and Karen Kathleen Marshall and her husband, Craig; brothers, William Marshall and wife, Jean, and Don Marshall and wife, Judy; and most beloved and cherished grandson, Quinn Marshall Thoman; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
