James Taylor Obituary

James Taylor, formerly of St. Paul, Minn., died on Feb. 6, 2018, at his home in Anchorage, Alaska.
James was born on April 4, 1945, in St. Paul, Minn., to parents James and Kathryn. After graduating high school he met the love of his life, Linda (Halverson) Taylor. In 1976, they moved to Anchorage with their three young children.
James was a retired Municipal employee and business owner. In his retirement years he enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family.
In fall 2016, James and Linda celebrated their 50th wedding Anniversary and shortly after Linda passed suddenly, leaving James broken hearted.
James will be sadly missed by his two sons, Jeff and Chuck Taylor; daughter, Suzie (Taylor) Smith with husband Erick and grandson Brantley, all of Anchorage; granddaughters, Jourdan and Rienne of Seattle, Wash.; and his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at O'Malley's on the Green at 3 p.m. on March 3, 2018, in Anchorage, and Military Services will be held on March 5, 2018, at 1 p.m., at Fort Richardson in Anchorage.

Well I'm still sad Jim and Linda too are gone. They gave me a job in 1977. I worked on and off through the years for them and we became good friends. Simply said I miss them.

I am still at a loss for words. Jim Taylor was a bright light in my mostly dreary days at the transmission shop. I just pray to God that I did good by him, because he did good by me. I never let him leave the shop without a hug, since I met him there in 2003. I love you Taylors, you are a blessing to know
