Hard to think of something to say, except that I still
miss John, as I am sure all his friends do.

John was a friend for more then 50 years. We are better people for have known him. He would think things out, use common sense, give an honest opinion and not be in a hurry to do it. When with him was to be comfortable. Larry Dziesinski, Alpena, Michigan.

I knew John for almost 50 years. He was my next door neighbor until he moved to the farm. We were always betting on something. The payoff was usually breakfast at the Tee Pee.
John was a fine up front person. Was looking forward to seeing him this fall when I visit Alaska, The visit wont be the same now.

Our deepest felt sympathies to Greta and to John's family. It was our extreme good luck to have met Johnny on the trail one day some thirty odd years ago. He took an interest in in us and our young family living up on Bald Mountain in a remote cabin. We are the better for having met John. Godspeed, my friend!

Talkeetna is a a better place having had John share his knowledge and kindness.
I hope his family and friends find strength at this time knowing John made a very important and special spot in our lives and he will be thought of often and fondly.

So much love to you, Grete, and Johnny's family as well. We miss him and know he is out of pain. I miss the stories and the gentleness of such a man's man. I will never forget the gentle delivery of a quiet thought that would echo for days: I will always strive to hold such capacity. Be well and ask for anything. Love S & C.
