Our deepest condolences to the family. We met "Uncle Jack" "Aunt Dolly" and Mark when they were on Northern Lights. My daughter Augustina was just a baby. Both my daughters Agatha and Augustina called him "Uncle Jack". They were such a great family. We will definitely miss him when we come up to AK to visit.

Jack was a great person he treated everyone with respect and loved his customers at Tudor Road Bingo. When my parents passed on we received flowers from him. This was very kind man and always appreciated his kindness. I will miss him when I attend Tudor Road Bingo !!! Heck he already has a bingo hall in heaven we just know it !!!

Jack was my journeyman in the late 70s when a female apprentice wasn't very popular. He was so good to me, smart and so funny. Always had something up his sleeve! RIP my friend

I did not know Jack personally but I am friends with his step-father John down here in Pittsburgh. John always spoke highly of Jack. John and I shared many stories about Alaska - John going up to visit Jack and my Army tour of duty there...including stops on Tudor Road! I am sorry for the loss you all must feel and also glad that he is free of pain and soaring with the eagles over Alaska. Even though I never had the pleasure, I almost feel as if I did. Alaska and Alaskans can do that to you. RIP Good Sir.

Jack was actually an inspiring individual and I enjoyed getting to know him post our face-off as candidates in the Democratic Primary for Lt. Governor. Although due to his illness we never got to do that public outing we talked about. Running against one another was a heck of a way to meet, but I am glad I got to know him. We had some wonderful phone conversations together after it was all over. I appreciated his sense of humor; his generosity to others; and his overall character. He will be missed.

Jack was indeed a generous active and pleasant man . Hard working
and a great competitor. He was interested in Alaska and loved being
the "MAN:" when it came to helping several charities.
A worthy soul who now will probably organize Heavens first Bingo Game.

Jack was a dear friend of our family for a long time. My mom was in real estate and worked with him in helping to start the BUCs baseball teal. He was a nice man who did nice things and always seemed to be kind and friendly to everyone. We need more people like him!
Rest in peace, Jack.

Jack Powers brought bingo to a higher level in Anchorage over the years and was a very good competitor which has changed the way the other bingo halls here had to change to ever meet Tudor Rd Bingo standards. He will be missed.

I want to offer my deepest sympathy to the family of Jack. I met Jack in the late 1990's thru my sister. Jack was a happy-go-lucky kind a guy and I will missed his jokes and smile. I enjoyed the times we get to spend with Jack, i.e., driving to Whitehorse, camping in Seward and watching baseball games. I will always treasure a scenic photograph he purchased for me and my late husband from the Alaska State Fair. Thank you Jack for great memories! Rest In Peace.
