Jonathan Brian Scott passed away, at 48 years old, on Dec. 29, 2018, at his home in Juneau, Alaska. Jon was born on Feb. 10, 1970, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Dr. James R. Scott and Carol Scott.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. James R. Scott; his sister, Shari Henkelman; and his spouse, Ellen Scott.
He is survived by his mother, Carol Scott; brother, Robert; sisters, Christy and Karen; four nieces; and one nephew.
Jon was an avid skier, attending the Glacier Creek Academy and enjoying the slopes of Alyeska. He also enjoyed wood carving, which he learned from his father. Jon was also noted for his cooking skills. He worked in the painting and construction industry, in Anchorage, Ketchikan and Juneau. He enjoyed fishing the Deshka River and his dry sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
The family is requesting that any memorial bequests be made to the Bird Treatment and Learning Center, 15510 Old Seward Highway, Anchorage, AK 99516.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church.

Please know that Nelson & I wish we could be there to say goodbye, but we know that he knows.
