Nancy: I have many fond memories of the time when I was Ken's secretary from 1970-1974. I learned a lot professionally from Ken, and it is my distinct pleasure to have known and worked for and with him. You and your family have my deepest sympathy at the loss of a truly wonderful husband and father.

Nancy, I was very sorry to hear of Ken's passing. I phoned him about three weeks ago to see how he was doing and he sounded good. We were good friends for close to forty years. I am so glad that Shirley and I were able to visit with you in Cooper Landing a few years ago and go fishing with Ken and the kids in Seward. I already miss Ken's smile and his remembrances of "the old days". May you find some comfort in knowing that Ken had so many friends who loved him. Respectfully, Jim Blair

Mother Teresa said, "We can do no great things, only small things with great love. So it is with great love for Ken, and for you, his family, that we try and express how grateful we are that for 31 years you allowed us to share some very special moments. We will never forget all the wonderful times. Nancy, remember when we went to San Francisco, and we sent the boys to Alcatraz and you and I went to Neiman Marcus?? It seemed only right!! He was so proud of all of you, and you will continue to make him proud. He was a "good guy". If you look in the dictionary you should find his photo under those words. We shall miss him always but we really feel that in a way we still have him--don't you see? Because the love can never be lost and he will remain forever in our hearts. We love you. Beth and George

My Dearest Unk,
I had to write you this one last email. How I will miss you!
My first memory of you is when you lived in Florida. I remember sitting in your lap and you would give me the best hugs!
After mom passed away, you were there for me via email and phone with advice, and encouragement.
Your sense of humor, wisdom and love sustained me when I didn't think I could possibly handle any more. You taught me that adversity makes us stronger.
It's really going to be hard not to hear from you anymore. Your emails have brightened my days, and given me food for thought.
I will cry when I remember you're gone, and laugh when I remember your smile and sense of humor. Your legacy extends beyond that of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. It reaches the Southern U.S. with your nephews and niece and THEIR children and grandchildren.
I will always love you!
Your favorite niece,
Carol

I thought the world of Ken, based on professional experience having litigated against him, and personally from living in Cooper Landing and serving with him on the CL Emergency Services Board where he did so much of the heavy lifting. My heartfelt sympathy to his wonderful wife Nancy and his family.

From myself and my family, I can only offer my sincere sympathy at your loss, Nancy, and your family.
I have only known Ken for a few years since 2001, but considered him one of my best friends.
May he find a place at the poker table with his buddies, John and Max. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

We had only to be in Ken's presence the first time to know we would always look forward to seeing him again. He was kind, charming, witty and captivating. We feel privileged to have had the opportunity to spend time with him on the few occasions we did. We're saddened by his passing and extend our deepest sympathy to the family for their loss.

Nancy, Ken and I had lunch at the Cook a few weeks ago and enjoyed reviewing humerous cases we had each had. Ken had beaten me badly on my first law suit - involving his secretary Armstrong and their P1800 Volvo. He taught me a lot!
So sorry for your loss. Jim Powell
