Linda Garrabrant Obituary
A public visitation will be held at Janssen's Eagle River Funeral Home in Eagle River, AK on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 5 p.m. A service will follow at 6 p.m. Linda's ashes will be scattered throughout Alaska.
Linda was born on May 12, 1949 in Sudbury, Canada to Winfield and Elsie Nantais. Robert Garrabrant and Linda first met on a blind date in 1967 and were married on June 28, 1969. Linda was a resident in Canada and California before making her permanent home in Eagle River, AK in 1979 were she ran Linda's Day Care for over 30 years. She also worked for Joy Lutheran Church of Eagle River. Linda enjoyed camping, fishing, clam digging, gun shows, arts and crafts, and spending time with family.
Her family wrote: "Linda showed all those that knew her how to give, thru love without measure and no thought of gain. God made another angel with Linda and called her to be with him. Linda was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed dearly."
She is affiliated with Riverside Church.
Linda's survivors include her husband, Robert Alan Garrabrant; sons, Jonathan and Daniel Garrabrant; daughter-in-law, Stacie Garrabrant; granddaughters, Rachel and Joslynn Garrabrant; grandson, Tristen Thomas; sister, Wendy Stout; and brother, Brian Nantais.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Winfield and Elsie Nantais.
Arrangements are with Janssen Funeral Homes.

What a amazing woman she was. She was so great with kids and such a selfless person... She loved doing things for people. My thoughts go to her family big time.. This will be a huge loss.

My sincere condolences to the entire family, especially to Bob. So sorry to hear about this. She passed too young. I would attend the service, but I'm in KY and won't return to Anchorage until about March 30.
