Rod,
I am so saddened to hear of Mary's death. I don't know if you remember me from your Slope days (I was security), but I remember the two of you so well. I can just picture both of you, even after all these years. I admired the two of you, as you seemed to be such a special couple, both together and individually. I loved Mary's beautiful spirit, which will live on in you, her family, friends, acquaintances, and even strangers. May The Lord hold you gently in His arms through this time.
My prayers are with you,

Rod - I have to share this we you as we read it at my sister, Deb and now My Friend, Mary's time:

The moment that you died, Our hearts split in two, The one side filled with memories, The other died with you. We often lay awake at night, When the world is fast asleep And take a walk down memory lane, With tear upon our cheeks. Remembering you is easy, We do it every day, But missing you is heartache, that never goes away. We hold you tightly within our hearts, and there you will remain. Life has gone on without you, But it will never be the same.

Though Mary & I worked together for only one year, we were friends for 30. I know that she touched countless lives, including mine, with her warmth, kindness, humor, generosity, and love. I will miss her laugh the most. The world is a lesser place without her.
My love to her husband & family & condolences.

I worked with Mary and it was such a pleasure. I am saddened to hear of her passing. Please know that we are so sorry for your loss and remember that memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose. Death may leave a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal.
