SCHAAF, Michael Age 31, Decatur, GA Date of Death: 04/08/2016 Mike had an insatiable appetite for life and lived his fully and without regret. He loved to dance, to sing off-tune, and to discover new music. He loved to read and to learn and to teach. He loved to travel off the beaten path and relax on the beach. He loved to commune with family and friends with good food and good beer. To know Mike was to love him and he enriched the lives of all whom he encountered. Mike's eternal optimism and joyful demeanor were infectious, even throughout his long battle against brain cancer. Mike died as he lived with grace, bravery and fortitude; without a complaint; surrounded in love; and with a smile on his face. He continues to live within all who knew him, for he loved well and was well loved. A Celebration of Life service will be held at All Souls Fellowship Church in Decatur, GA Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Mike is survived by his wife Alexis Schaaf and beloved son Carey; parents Patrick and Mary Pat Schaaf; and siblings John Patrick, Paul and Becca Schaaf.
