Richard was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1955 to Mardell and Richard Lee Hacker Sr. Rick spent 10 years in Ohio and moved to Alaska in the summer of 1968. Rick was very close to his little sister Micki and always made sure she was safe. Rick was best friends with Christina Finger and was a good friend to many. He was good hearted. If your car broke down, he was always ready to help. He was a good mechanic.

Rick served in the Army in 1971. he was stationed in Ft. Knox, KY. He was released from the Army with an honorable discharge. Rick returned to Anchorage in 1973. He met June Ann Christensen and they had a son in 1978 and named Richard Lee Hacker III. They never married.

In 1990 Rick met Sandy Finger and married her. They had three children, Takoa Hacker, Veronica Dawn (Hacker) Banks, and Dylan Lee (Hacker) Aikey.

Rick vowed to stay in Alaska all his life so his children could always find him. And they did.

Rick, we will miss you. I pray for you and for the rest of our family. You leave a big hole in our hearts. We know you struggled and were sometimes the "black sheep", but you were never not loved. You will be missed. We needed you in our lives, and now we will keep your memory. Take care to watch over us, and God bless. - Melissa

My condolences to Micki and the rest of the Charmley family. I can only imagine how you are grieving. I know my son Richie's heart is broken over this loss. I too hope Rick had the comfort of jesus as he departed this world. He is free now. Free from the troubles that plagued him in this world. Now rick your soul can fly high.

I am sure you will be missed by many. Many people loved you and knew that you had a good heart. I pray that you had the comfort of Jesus as you departed this world. I dont know your other children, but Richie is my brother and you can hold your head high knowing that he is turning into a fine young man and a good daddy. You would be proud. Rest in peace Rick.
