Mary Alice Hacker, a beloved resident of East Bernard, passed away on January 24, 2026. Born on August 9, 1951, in Sugarland Texas. she was the daughter of Tellas and Helen (Tomczak) Sebesta and the daughter-in-law of Martin and Mary (Braden) Hacker. Mary Alice had a deep love for the outdoors and found great joy in baking cakes from scratch. She was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard.

Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents Tellas and Helen (Tomczak) Sebesta; parents in law Martin and Mary (Braden) Hacker; son Kurt Hacker; granddaughter Meredith Witek, brothers Johnny Sebesta, Tellas Sebesta Jr., Tommy Sebesta, and sister-in-law Shirley Sebesta.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, David W. Hacker. Her memory will be cherished by her children: Kevin Hacker and his wife Kimberly, Keith Hacker and his wife Danielle, Kristy and her husband Shawn, and daughter in law Susan Hacker. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren: Rachel Hacker, Shelby Hacker, Chase Hacker, Blake Hacker, Tabitha Witek, Aidan Hacker, Bridgett Witek, Braden Witek; step grandchildren Devin Hollis, Mellysa Williams, Matthew Delore. Mary Alice is also survived by her siblings Florence Fajkus husband James; sisters in law Linda Sebesta and Lee Ann Sebesta: along with her brothers in law James Hacker, and Robert Hacker Partner John Makowski. She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Thursday February 5,2026 from 5-8 p.m., at Davis Greenlawn in Rosenberg. A rosary prayer will take place at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held the following day at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross catholic Church in East Bernard. Burial will take place at Greenlawn memorial park in Rosenberg.

Expressions of remembrance and condolences are welcome and may be left for the family at www.davisgreenlawnfh.com.
