Robert Needham Obituary

Robert Kemp Needham passed away February 25, 2014. He was born in Kodiak, Alaska to John and Darlene Needham on July 20, 1970. Robert moved to Anchorage at the age of 3. He attended West Anchorage High School, graduating with the class of 1988. The following year he attended Marymount College in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. He also attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Years later he finally fulfilled his real dream by following in his mother's footsteps. Robert attended Trendsetter's School of Beauty and became a hair stylist in 2001. He was truly passionate and talented in his career and shortly after graduating from beauty school he became an instructor in hair design.

Robert's passions included his career, music, camping and his beloved dog, Yacko. He was well known for his unique, creative, and animated sense of humor and charm. He could always bring a smile to the faces of his family, friends and co-workers, the children in his life, and his students.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene (Reft) Needham in 2004, and survived by his immediate family, Jennie and their dog Yacko; his father, John R. Needham; sister, Zoya and her husband Jon Brown, their daughters, Mischa and Quinn; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews located in Alaska, California, and Idaho.

A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family of Robert at a later date. Details to follow.

I was looking for your sister online and found this sad news. I remember you and your curious mind, always interested in what your sister and her friends were up to. I’m wondering what took you too soon. My thoughts are with your family this holiday season.
