Rolf Frostad Obituary
Rolf worked as a contractor and then employee for Weyerhaeuser for 11 years and was currently Technical Director Audio/Visual Technical Services in Federal Way, WA. His various jobs that led to his experience and work ethic were legal clerk for a major oil field related case, to being a waiter and host at a golf club and Italian restaurant in Anchorage, to providing seasonal help for laying seismic cable, to working with roofers on commercial buildings, to coordinating and moving office furniture at Weyerhaeuser and then hired for AV services.
His family wrote, "Rolf will be missed by all who knew him. He was dedicated to his job but his true passion was camping and doing things with his son Drake. He loved helping prepare for school projects. His mother remembers he was always ready to help her or someone else who needed a hand. He loved his time in Alaska, fishing, clam digging and just hanging out by a fire on the beach. His love and dry sense of humor will be so very dearly missed."
He was preceded in death by his father Edward E. Frostad of Anchorage, Alaska, He is survived by his son Drake Frostad; mother Donna Avery of Issaquah, WA; sisters Lisa Frostad and husband Ronald Thomas of Sammamish, WA; Kathy Schroeder and husband Steve of Sammamish, WA; stepmom Joyce Frostad of Anchorage, Ak and precious nieces and nephews Annikka, Erik, Baden and Alyse.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, December 17th at 2pm at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 1700 Edmonds Ave NE, Renton, WA. You may also leave tributes and share pictures at: http://www.forevermissed.com/rolf-edward-frostad/#about
In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been established for Drake. Key Bank A/C # 472713000694 in the name of Donna Avery (grandmother) for Drake Frostad.
