Ruth Anthony Obituary

Ruth Vernell "Nell" (Castle, Jaronitzky) Anthony, 83, died in the early morning of Nov. 26, 2008, at a local hospital.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Providence Horizon House Chapel.
She was born Sept. 27, 1925, in Gilmer, Texas, where she graduated from high school.
Nell loved to travel and visit with friends and family.
She came to Alaska in 1956 and lived here for 29 years before moving to Tacoma, Wash. While in Anchorage, Nell and her family owned and operated K&H Motors. She also worked full time for Alyeska Pipeline Co. until she retired.
Mrs. Anthony moved back to Anchorage in April 2008 to be close to her family.
She is survived by her husband, John M. Anthony of Tacoma, Wash.; sons, H. Wayne Castle and Steven F. Jaronitzky; grandchildren, Michael W. Castle, Stephen F. Jaronitzky Jr., and Kathryn Elizabeth F. Jaronitzky; and great-grandchildren, Travis Castle, Ian Castle and Zoe Jaronitzky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and her son, Richard Castle.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Nell Anthony's name to Providence Horizon House Chapel, 4140 Folker St., Anchorage 99508.
Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.

Nell Anthony was the best friend I had in Tacoma, Washington. I am glad I was in close contact with her after she left Tacoma. Nell, you are in a much better place.
