Phillips family,
I am very sorry to hear what happened. Shawn was one of the happiest people I've ever known. Me and him use to hang out all the time and he always found a way to make me smile or laugh. He will be missed deeply but I will keep him with me through the memories I have of him. I am very sorry I couldn't make it for the service but I will visit him when I get back up to Alaska. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

Dear Shirley and Patrick
Words can't express how sorry I am to hear the sad news. Shawn was such a sweetheart. I remember him well from Naknek. He was such a little trooper when he got that awful cut on his foot at the lake. I admired his scar a few years ago and we laughed about it.
I know you will hold him in your hearts forever. I will too.
