I first met Steve when he played for Alison King's band, "Spenard Philharmonik". As the lead guitarist for the Mike Olson Band, he was always anxious to learn more to better his musicianship, whether it be taking his wife Karen to see & hear the Ken Peltier Band, or to swap mentorship with country guitarist extraordinaire Robin Howard, or to learn to play the pedal steel guitar after watching & listening to Stu Schulman.
Goodbye Steve!

Steve was an honest and a fun guy. I'm truly sad I didn't push harder to put that jam together we talked about, but I'm so grateful we bumped into each other a few months ago at Henry's while catching a KCC gig, cause we had a chance to sit and relax and talk guitar/music and recovery together for a few hours.
I'm really going to miss Steve ... but the memory of his kindness and honesty has left me inspired to to be a better person, as well as a more soulful player.
See you later Steve.
Sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

Don and I would like to express our deepest sympathies to Steve's family. We knew Steve through the music community, and liked him very much. He was highly regarded both as a talented musician and a fine human being. Heaven is a richer place, as he is surely there, and the choir of angels is surely singing a little brighter with him in the band. Steve will be missed here on earth.

Karen...

I'm so sorry to hear of Steve's passing! He was a great friend and co-worker while he was at SCF and he was a wealth of knowledge when working with our clients. I was honored that the both of you were able to attend my wedding, as he had always hoped it would eventally happen. I wish I would have been able to tell him that I graduated, which I just found out. May he rest in peace! He will be missed!
