Thomas Smith III

After a short battle with cancer, Thomas passed on February 23, 2014 in Las Vegas. Tom was born in Ada, Oklahoma on April 21, 1960 to Richard and Carolyn Smith. They made their way to Alaska in 1963. He attended Clark Middle School and graduated from Bartlett High School. Tom loved all sports and was an avid golfer. He never missed his beloved Oklahoma Sooners football games. Tom worked as a survey party chief on several major projects in Alaska, Hawaii and recently some of the large hotels and casinos in Las Vegas. He was working on the large Ferris wheel at the Flamingo at the time of his illness. He is survived by his wife, Dee; his mother, Carolyn; his father, Richard; sisters, Gia and Crystal; and his nieces Geena and Jessica.
