Wade Hart

1958 - 2018

Wade Hart, husband to Gloria, father to Michael and Eric, father-in-law to Katie and Becky and grandpa to Oliver, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Oct. 6, 2018. He fought a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Wade was born in South Dakota but was raised in Alaska. His family moved to Alaska in the late 1950s. He grew up in the Anchorage area but moved with his family to the Kenai Peninsula when he was 17 years old. Wade was one of eight children, the oldest son of Bill and Peg Hart.
He and Gloria were married in 1982 and together they owned and operated Wade's Plumbing Service, for nearly 30 years. He loved his work and through it had the opportunity to work with and for, what he considered, some of the finest people on the peninsula, of whom many he considered friends.
Wade earned his pilot's license in 1997. He loved the adventure and thrill of being an Alaskan pilot. He was also an avid hunter and had many opportunities to fly into remote areas of Alaska to hunt and fish with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bill; and his mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Gloria. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; sons, Michael (Katie) and Eric (Becky); grandson, Oliver, mother Peg Hart; and seven siblings, Sherry (Jess) Evans, Bill (Carey) Hart, Norbert (Julie) Hart, Annie (Trevor) Job, Wanda (James) Cizek, Paula (Kevin) Green, Ruthi (Guy) Riley; and many in-laws who considered him a brother as well as more than 60 nieces and nephews.
Wade had a strong faith in his Lord and looked to him for guidance throughout his life. He was loved by many and will be forever missed. Until we meet again.
Memorial services will be held on Oct. 27, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Soldotna Bible Chapel.
