Clark Holcomb Obituary

Clark Holcomb, formerly of Aitkin, Minnesota, and Huron, South Dakota, passed away Dec. 16, 2025, at the Cerenity Senior Care Center in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, due to complications associated with dementia. He was 78 years old.

Clark was born on August 2, 1947, in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, to Loren and Sandra Miklya Holcomb. He grew up in North Branch, Minnesota, where he graduated from high school. He attended college in Huron, South Dakota, where he studied kinesiology and was a member of the wrestling team. He enjoyed sharing stories of his time in New York City and working for the circus. Clark was a farmer for most of his life, raising pigs and beef cattle. He enjoyed playing on a local softball team, shooting clay pigeons at the local rod and gun club, and playing pool. He was avid fisherman and hunter and started a pheasant hunting preserve on the farm in Aitkin where he led guided hunts. After selling the farm and moving to Huron, South Dakota, he continued to lead guided pheasant hunts. He also did concrete work in the Aitkin area. Clark was a devoted stepfather and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Sandra Holcomb; his brothers, Jerry and Cliff; and his nephew, Ronald Holcomb. Survivors include his ex-wife Jean Kallevang of Aitkin, Minnesota; stepdaughter Jennifer (Todd) McCann, stepgranddaughters Megan Solis and Lindsey McCann, nephews Rick and Corey Holcomb, cousin Dave Miklya, several friends and hunting buddies, and his beloved hunting dog Roscoe.

No formal service will be held; however, friends and family will gather to celebrate Clark's life on Friday, Jan. 23, from 2-4 p.m. at The Joint in Bennettville.
