Anthony Serna Obituary

Antonio M. Serna, 81, of Alamogordo, was called home Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, beside him his loving wife, Manuela, and grandson Christopher Maynez at their family home.
He is survived by his wife, Manuela E. Serna; children Marcos L. Serna and wife, Kathy, David Serna and wife, Mary, Richard Maynez, Roberta ""Bobbie"" George and husband, Johnny, Angie Nelson and husband, Gary, Susie Duran and husband, Jaime, and Jose Luis Serna - lost but never forgotten; brothers and sisters Robert O. ""Bobby"" Serna and wife, Ichiko, Jose O. ""Chuy"" Serna and wife, Sylvia, Jose M. Serna and wife, Betty, Maria Ramos and husband, Modesto, Rosa Conn and husband, Bill, and sister-in-law Lugarda M. ""Lugie"" Serna; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Elvira Serna, and brothers Francisco ""Kiko"" Serna III and Francisco Serna II.
Memorial services for Antonio M. Serna will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home chapel with Father Bryant Hausfeld, O.F.M., officiating.
Inurnment will be at a later date.
The Serna family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services. Cremation will take place at PCS.

I was privileged to have worked with Tony at the courthouse for many years and counted him as a friend. I enjoyed his stories. He was absolutely a man of his word and a man that could be counted on always. I look forward to meeting up with him again some day. God bless you all
