Hazel Strawbridge Obituary

Hazel Alice Strawbridge passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Albuquerque. She was born as Hazel Hite on March 23, 1941, in Casa Grande, Ariz., to Aaron Hite and Helen Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Strawbridge, son Bennie Strawbridge Jr., her sister Lois Tharp and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter Pennie Espiritu and her husband, Luisito, of Las Cruces; her son Wesley, of Las Vegas, Nev.; her son Mark Strawbridge, of Alamogordo; her daughter Debra Northam, of Truth or Consequences; her daughter Sue Strawbridge, of Truth or Consequences; her daughter Saira Perkins, of Truth or Consequences; and her daughter Gladys Strawbridge, of Truth or Consequences.
She has 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was loved and will be missed by many whose lives she touched.

My mother and Hazel went to college at NMSUA together back in the early 80s. She was a delightful woman who inspired me in so many different ways. My mother--who passed last year spoke fondly of Hazel. My condolences to the family.

Growing up with the Strawbridge family as a kid was a lot of fun Mrs Strawbridge always had a smile for me every time i walked into the house.God Bless Hazel and the whole family sorry to see such a kind person leave us.Our prayers are with the family in these tuff days.
