Phyllis Walker Obituary
Phyllis Ruby (Sipe) Walker, 89, passed away on Oct. 1, 2014, in Alamogordo. She was born on Sept. 18, 1925, in Adams County, Indiana, to Arthur and Sylvia (Glassburn) Sipe.
She received her registered nursing degree at Indianapolis General Hospital in 1947. She received her bachelors of science degree at the University of Redlands in 1980. She worked at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center for over thirty years as manager of the outpatient clinic.
Survivors include friend, Judith Morrissey of Alamogordo, and her sister, Donna Dills of Marion, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rufus Walker, M.D.
The Memorial Service will be conducted at the First Presbyterian Church, 1318 14th St., Monday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Robert Reno officiating. A reception will follow.
Should friends desire, contributions may be made to Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center.
The Walker family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services. Cremation will take place at PCS.

My mother's closest friend for many, many years, Phyllis was more family than my own...she will be dearly missed. I remember many Christmas' spent with her and Rufus. With love, thoughts of times past, and prayers~
