Alamogordo - Rachel Urueta Sayas, 35, originally from El Paso, TX passed away suddenly on March 24, 2021 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was a Merchandise Manager at Dollar Tree.

Survivors include her three daughters, Celina Romo, Nadia Sayas and Nylah Sayas; her mother, Sophia Urueta-Honig; brothers, Jaime Urueta and Jose Urueta and wife Eunice Urueta-Garcia and their three children, Josue, Angela and Emmanuel Urueta-Garcia; maternal uncle, Ezequiel Urueta, Jr. and his three children, Naomi, Noel and Nevin Urueta; siblings, Jorge Martinez and his wife and two children, Oscar Martinez and his wife and three children, Alan Martinez and his wife and three children, and Nancy Grajeda and her husband and daughter; her God parents, Hermelinda and Antonio Jassio; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who love her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcos Sayas; brother, Jorge "Andy" Urueta; maternal grandparents, Alicia and Ezequiel Urueta; her father, Jorge Martinez; and paternal grandmother, Matilde Martinez.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel, 2301 First Street in Alamogordo, NM.

Due to the COVID pandemic, occupancy at the visitation is limited to no more than 10 people at a time. Please practice social distancing at all times. Thank you for adhering to the Department of Health mandate.

Interment of cremated remains will take place at Monte Vista Cemetery at a later date with Pastor Garcia officiating.

The Sayas family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
