Randall Rich Obituary

Randall (Randy) Lee Rich, 50, resident of Albuquerque, unexpectedly passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010. He was born on Aug. 15, 1959, Alamogordo. Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents Mary and Angelo Rich Sr., Noma Lee and Cecil Ganzhon. Randy is survived by his parents Charmayne Davis, of Alamogordo, and Angelo Rich Jr., of Albuquerque; his sister Paula Rich-Greenwood, of Alamogordo; half-brother Marty Shepperd, of Alamogordo; half-sister Karyn Wilson and husband, Dave; nieces Grace and Hannah, of Albuquerque; half-brother Miguel Rich and wife, Carrie, and nephew Ryan, of Colorado; uncles Johnny, Mike, Jack Rich and aunt Rose Chavez, of Albuquerque; niece Cori Duran and husband, Robert (Bob); and great-nephew Alex and great-niece Desiree Duran, of Alamogordo. Survivors also include many additional extended family members and friends. Randy leaves behind his two beloved great Pyrenees dogs.
After graduating from Alamogordo High School in 1977, Randy developed his creative talent as a freelance sign painter. Many of his hand-painted signs still grace the skies in Alamogordo, Albuquerque, throughout New Mexico and Colorado. As an adult, Randy's love of nature and animals frequently lead him to the great outdoors for camping, fishing, hiking and spending much of his life in the New Mexico/Colorado wilderness. His love of animals found him rescuing a multitude of animals. Randy's quirky sense of humor and loving nature will be greatly missed.

Randy, old friend. We had some great times years back. It was nice to finally get to catch up on the phone last year. There ought to be some good fishin' up yonder. Be sure to leave some for the rest of us. ;) Thanks for all the good times and for being a good friend. You'll surely be missed. See you on the other side. Peace amigo.
