Fidela Gonzales Obituary
Alice - Fidela Gonzales- 86 years of age passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, May 31, 2021 at home with her husband by her side. Fidela was born April 24, 1935, in Alice, Texas to Paulino Reyna and Jesusa Ordonez Reyna. She dedicated her life to her family and children; she was a housewife. Fidela enjoyed having her family gathered and spending quality time with them; she also enjoyed working on cross word puzzles and playing sudoku. She will be remembered as a devout Dallas Cowboy fan, even her children knew not to call during a Cowboy game. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years of marriage, Ricardo Gonzales Sr. of Alice, Texas; three sons, Ricardo (+Delma) Gonzalez Jr. of Alice, Texas, Jesus Gonzales and Rene Gonzales both of Alice, Texas; two daughters, Susanna (Adan) Saenz and Guadalupe (Arturo) Serna both of Houston, Texas; one brother, Fidencio (Virginia) Reyna of Alice, Texas; two sisters, Isabel (Romulo) Perez and Rosa (Lee) Lozano both of Alice, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary being recited at 1:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Roberson Collins Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Gonzalez, Sergio Gonzales, Adan Saenz III, Eli Gomez, R.J. Gonzales and Anthony Gonzalez.
The family encourage all attending the services to please wear a face mask.

A wonderful strong woman. Her door was always open to her numerous children, grandchildren, and always listen to their problems and give them advice. She leaves a legacy of love and respect, and teach her children that family comes first.
