Malaquias Saldivar Jr.
Alice - Malaquias Saldivar Jr., age 82, passed away April 18, 2021 in Alice, Texas. He was born March 5, 1939 in General Teran Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Jose Malaquias Saldivar Sr. and Maria Dolores Gonzalez Saldivar. Malaquias began in the printing business at the age of 17 years old. He and his wife, Rosita later owned and operated Accurate Printing for 43 years. Malaquias enjoyed the outdoors ranching life. He will forever be remembered for his hard-working ethic and for his unconditional love for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Malaquias Saldivar Sr. and Maria Dolores Gonzalez Saldivar; and wife, Rosita Saldivar.
Malaquias is survived by his children, Yvonne Cantu (Rick) of Odem, Malaquias Adrian Saldivar (Maggie) of Portland, Victor Javier Saldivar (Janet) of Corpus Christi, Dolores Saldivar (Ezzie) of Katy, Cesar Saldivar (Arcelia) of Pflugerville and Omar Saldivar (Hannah) of Alice; siblings, Laura Estela Saldivar, Rosa Vasquez, Margarita Maldonado and Gloria Leal all of Reynosa, Mexico; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 11 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel. A holy rosary will be recited Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by a funeral mass at 2 p.m. Burial to follow at Alice Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Saldivar, Victor Saldivar, Cesar Saldivar, Omar Saldivar, Rodrigo Saldivar, and Xavier Saldivar.
Services will be livestreamed via Rosas Funeral Home Facebook page beginning Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 1:30 pm. Please like the page and you will be notified once services begin. Facemasks are required upon entering our facilities and during all services.
