Rene Soliz Obituary
League City - Rene Jesus Soliz, 44, of League City, passed away May 6, 2021. He was born in Corpus Christi on September 18, 1976 to Aristedes Soliz and Olga Castaneda Soliz. He grew up in Alice, TX and had a passion for football and powerlifting. He proudly represented the Alice Coyotes and graduated with the class of '95. He was married to Rena Garcia Soliz for 21 years. Rene worked for Shell Oil & Gas. He was a hardworking man who gave his all for the people he loved. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He always found a way to serve others and never questioned what was in it for him. He had a passion for woodworking, cooking, baking, BBQing, golfing, and football. He especially cherished moments in the kitchen whether it was because he was baking his family's recipe for pan de polvo, cooking homemade chicken and sausage gumbo or dancing with his wife Rena. The kitchen was his favorite place and it is where many beautiful memories were made.
He was preceded in death by Aristedes Soliz (Father), Olga Castaneda Soliz (Mother), Erasmo Cisneros (Brother), Roland Cisneros (Brother), Oscar Barrera (Brother-in-law).
He is survived by his wife, Rena Soliz, and their children Daniel (Kristina) Garza, Samantha (Jesse) Alonzo, Felicia (Gustavo) Garcia, Lystra (Robert) Chavera and Aris Rene Soliz. His grandchildren Mason, Kaindan, Madison, Makayla (Garza), Augustine (Garcia), Ezekiel, Adilynn, Jasiah, Robert Jr., Zeraiah, Zakaylah, Zerenity, and Arya (Chavera). His siblings Felix (Gloria) Cisneros, Michael (Jonette) Cisneros, Ramon (Lisa) Cisneros, and Cynthia Barrera.
Rosary service will held Saturday, May 29th at 1:30PM in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home (21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598) with a celebration of Rene's life beginning at 2:00PM.
