Rodolfo A. "Rudy" Ibanez

1967 - 2017

Rodolfo "Rudy" A. Ibanez, Jr. went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2017, at the age of 50. He was born on July 19, 1967 in San Antonio, TX. He is preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo A. Ibanez, Sr., maternal grandparents, Rafael and Ida C. Salinas, and paternal grandparents, Rosita P. Barrera and Jose P. Ibanez. Rudy is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Melva Ibanez; mother, Imelda Ibanez (Mario Rodriguez, Sr.); in-laws, Teofilo and Estefana Hernandez; children, Alyssa Marie Ibanez, Javier Augustin Ibanez and Rodolfo "Rudy" Augustine Ibanez, III; beautiful granddaughter Aaliyah Marie Ibanez; siblings, Venessa Alvarez (Michael) and Orlando JJ Ibanez (Yadira); brothers and sisters in law, Beatriz Jimenez, Ramiro Hernandez (Loudres), Rosalinda Huffman (Charlie), Raul Hernandez (Patty), Roger Hernandez, Elva Hernandez (Roland) and Raquel Hernandez, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rudy proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He worked as heavy equipment operator for 10 years in the construction business and later worked for Boeing as an aircraft mechanic for 15 years. Rudy was known as a handyman and enjoyed working on his cars. He especially loved spending time with his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral procession to depart at 9:30 A.M. for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church on Friday, December 15, 2017. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery 3.
