Anthony Joubert Obituary
Anthony "Wayne" Joubert, 65, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021. He was born in Lake Charles, La., on Sept. 19, 1955, to Ananias and Beretta Joubert.
He was a 1973 graduate of Washington High School. Wayne's joy was helping others. Whether it was providing transportation, cooking a meal, or helping with construction projects; you could always depend on him.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Ananias and Beretta Joubert; maternal grandparents, Preston and Beulah Green; paternal grandparents, Leon and Teresa Joubert; brother, Herbert Lee Green, and niece, Andrea George.
He leaves those to cherish his memory, one son, Anthony Jermaine (Renee) Joubert; grandchildren, Jaylen and Brielle Joubert; sisters, Carolyn (Willie) Richardson and Beverly (Ray) Lee; uncles, Ivory Joubert and Herman Green; aunt, Leatrice Lawson; nephews, Marvin (Minna) Henry, Tony (Rayma) Smith, Waylon (Nia) Richardson, Randall Starlard; niece, LeShan (Terrance) Jackson; and extended family, Lawrence Isaac Sr., Lawrence Isaac, Jr, Gilda Isaac, Marjorie Beale and Pamela Mayne; god-daughter, Tammy Jason; special friends for over 20 years, Shirley Jean and Deidra Jean; and a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at King's Funeral Home, 1611 Gerstner Memorial Drive, Lake Charles, LA 70601 at 2 p.m. Due to COVID, we ask that you wear your mask and maintain 6 feet social distancing.
Flowers may be sent to King's Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021.
