Patrick "Terry" Guidry

1959 - 2021

Patrick "Terry" Guidry, 61, of Bell City, passed away on Monday, Jan. 4, 2020, at CHI St. Luke's Health-Memorial in San Augustine, Texas. He was born on November 23, 1959 in Jennings, LA. to his parents, Ivan and Lillian Guidry. Terry attended and graduated from Bell City High School. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, tractors, doing his yard work, and spending time with his family, whom he loved very much. He never met a stranger and was always a joy to be around; always lending a helping hand. You couldn't ask for a kinder, happier person!
He is survived by his mother Lillian Guidry; one sister, Racheal Guidry of Bell City; three brothers, Jason Guidry (Amanda) of Hayes, Harvey Guidry (Diane) of Moss Bluff, and Tony Guidry (Brenda) of Jennings; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Terry is preceded in death by his father, Ivan Guidry; and two brothers, Leon Guidry and David Guidry; and his grandparents, Luah Guidry, Ales Laviolette Guidry, Regile Derouen, and Ozea LeJeune Derouen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bell City on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00am, with Father John Payne officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Thursday, January 7, 2021, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Friday, from 8:00am until the procession to the church. Burial will follow at Lorraine-Derouen Cemetery in Hayes, LA.
