Keith Alphonso Obituary

Keith J. Alphonso: 59, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana. Born December 11, 1965, Keith Joseph Alphonso was one of four children of the late Margaret Tekippe Alphonso & Frank Alphonso. He is survived by his wife Regina Alphonso and siblings Connie Alphonso, Sheri (Chuck) Moss, Curt (Carla) Alphonso, and his daughter, Melissa Anne Alphonso. Keith graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor's degree and then obtained his master's degree from University of Southern Mississippi, in Computer Science. Keith married Regina Willis on November 11th, 2018. They have a beautiful, blended family including Keith's Daughter Melissa and Regina's four children Renee (Gregory) Drewes, Ray (Kylie) Duplantier, Casey Clavin and Jessica Clavin. Keith and Regina enjoyed spending time with their seven grandchildren: Carter, Sadie, Parker, Simon, Maddox, Natalie, and Emily. Ketih also dearly loved his extended family, including his nephews Dylan, Luke and Owen. Keith found his greatest joy in traveling with his cherished wife, Regina. Together, they explored the country and ventured to the beaches of Mexico, creating memories filled with laughter, sunshine, and love. Their home on Lake Pontchartrain in Slidell was a sanctuary where weekends were spent boating with close friends and family-Keith at the helm, always smiling, always making sure everyone was having the time of their lives. A true New Orleanian at heart, Keith was a passionate fan of the New Orleans Saints and known for hosting unforgettable parties that brought people together in celebration and camaraderie. His genuine warmth and generosity were unmatched-he would do anything for anyone, and he did it with a smile that lit up the room. Professionally, Keith thrived in the tech field at Geocent as their CTO, and later at Sev1Tech as a Senior Solutions Architect, where he embraced the complexity of his work with enthusiasm and brilliance. His career was more than a job-it was a passion that reflected his sharp mind and love for problem-solving. Keith had a rare gift for friendship. No matter where he went, he made connections that lasted a lifetime. He was the kind of person who made you feel seen, heard, and valued. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the love he shared so freely. He will be deeply missed by Regina, his family, and the many friends who were lucky enough to know him and call him theirs. Keith's life was a beautiful journey, and his memory will continue to inspire joy, kindness, and adventure in all of us. Psalm 112:5-6: "A good man deals graciously and lends; he will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely, he will never be shaken; the righteous will be in everlasting remembrance." Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, Louisiana, on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am. Hawaiian attire would be very appropriate.

Keith was my brother-in-law for 25 years. He has a special place in my heart. I am godmother to his daughter, Melissa. We spent many family vacations together including Gulf Shores, Disney, Mexico and many hurricane evacuations. Keith loved to host family gatherings and I have fond memories of all the Halloweens, Thanksgivings, Christmases, 4th of Julys, New Years and Saints games spent with him and our families. I am deeply saddened by his death and pray for comfort for my family, extended family, Melissa, and his family.

I met Keith at the Treasure Chest casino on July 28, 2000, exactly 45 minutes before I met my future wife Sherie. Keith stood in our wedding and is Godfather to our daughter Rachel. We enjoyed many good times together at Rue Jonathan, including the Saints Super Bowl victory. We evacuated to Houston for Katrina and I will never forget Keith telling me, "Kyle, they're never as bad as they say they're going to be." Katrina was pretty bad, but we survived. I have not been in contact with Keith since our paths diverged 12 years ago but I feel his loss acutely. I pray for all those who grieve him, especially his daughter Melissa who loved her Dad immensely.
