Robert J. Davis

Robert J. Davis, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 72. He was born on September 18, 1953, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to the late Lois and William Davis.

After high school, he bravely served in the United States Navy, where he served with distinction. His time in the military instilled in him a sense of discipline and honor that he carried throughout his life.

Robert was employed with the Alphatype and the City of Slidell. His colleagues knew him as a reliable and diligent worker, someone who could always be counted on to go the extra mile. Robert took great pride in his role in serving the citizens of Slidell.

Family was the cornerstone of Robert's life. He was a beacon of love for his siblings, Linda Kalina, Laura Zolkowaski, Roberta Sandoval, and the late Lorain Ward. His role as a brother extended to his support family, Michele Valderrama, Jessica Valderrama, Andree Duke, and Barbara and John Call, all of whom he held dear to his heart.

Robert's greatest joy came from the ones who affectionately called him "Faux Pa." Cody, Lindsay, Elizabeth, Dustin, Madison, Eleanor, Peyton, Harper, Opal, and Jordan brought immeasurable happiness to his life.

An avid NASCAR fan, Robert found excitement and camaraderie in the sport. He could often be found cheering on his favorite drivers and sharing his extensive knowledge of racing with anyone who shared his interest.

Robert will be laid to rest with military honors on Monday, March, 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
