Albert David "A.D." Shaw

The funeral service for Albert David "A.D." Shaw, 88, of Anniston, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Rev. Ken Ballard and Rev. Matt Blair officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Shaw passed away Monday night at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Shaw; parents, John and Carrie Shaw; sisters, Ruby Melton, Flossie Davis, and Louise Rice; and brothers, Johnny Shaw, Lonnie Shaw, W.J. Shaw, Lee Roy Shaw, and Clint Shaw. Mr. Shaw was a longtime resident of Anniston and a member of Church of the Cross and was a past member of McCoy United Methodist Church. Mr. Shaw served his country in the US Army, and was a contractor by trade. He had a true servants heart, loved the Lord, and loved his family. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his children, David Mark Shaw (Nancy), Laura Shaw Robinson (Jim) and Andrew Kevin Shaw (Traci); grandchildren, Trey David Shaw (Lauren), Justin Mark Shaw, Chelsea Carolyn Robinson, Chase Allen Robinson (Lauren) , Eli Shaw Robinson, Andrew Riley Shaw (Atleigh) and Adeline Grace Shaw; great grandson, Baker David Shaw; brothers, Calvin Shaw and Raymond Shaw (Judy); and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the benevolence fund at Church of the Cross, 1600 Greenbrier Dear Road, Anniston, AL 36207 (churchofthecross.tv/give).
