Dennis Christopher Obituary

Funeral service for Dennis Christopher, 63, will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Ohatchee United Methodist Church with Sammy Legon officiating. Burial will follow at Ohatchee First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11-1 p.m. at the church. Mr. Christopher died May 27, 2017 at UAB. Survivors include his mother, Bobbie Christopher; brothers, Curtis M. Christopher, Tim Christopher (Karan); sister, Beverly Whiteside (Blake), and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Christopher. Pallbearers will be Blake Whiteside, Heath Christopher, Kevin Baswell, Perry Howard, Joey Howard and Kelly Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Whiteside, Casey Camp, Lee Heifner, Shane Lawrence, Stanley Baswell, Ricky Henderson, Jimmy Hamby, Leroy Curbow and Freddie Olgesby. Mr. Christopher was born and raised in Ohatchee and retired from Russo Corporation. He was an avid Auburn fan and loved to hunt.
